Meet Braeden

Hello!

My name is Braeden, I am from West Virginia and I have been diagnosed with AGS-7. Since I was a baby I have had a pretty rough life, from learning all of my skills (except walking) to losing them by the time I was 17 months old. I have been through what seems like every test possible to figure out what was wrong with me because I wasn’t gaining weight and was becoming very weak, I had been in pain and couldn’t sleep at night. I finally got the diagnosis in November of 2015. Since knowing what my condition is my doctors at Children’s National have worked so hard to make my life better, with a new drug trial that has opened up so many new doors for me to other medicines that make me more comfortable so I can enjoy life. I am extremely happy with how far we have come with AGS today and with everyone’s help hopefully one day we will have a cure and other kids won’t have to go through what I have gone through. Thank You!
